Terms of Service for ReturnGuard

Effective Date: March 10, 2026

By installing and using the ReturnGuard app ("Service", "App") on your Shopify store, you ("Merchant", "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Description of Service

ReturnGuard is a decision-support and risk-analysis tool. It analyzes historical order data to provide a "Risk Score" and automated tags to help merchants identify potentially risky orders (e.g., high return probability or chargeback risk).

2. Limitation of Liability (DISCLAIMER)

ReturnGuard is purely an advisory tool. The App does not automatically cancel orders, refund payments, or halt shipments.

  • All final decisions regarding whether to fulfill, cancel, or investigate an order remain the sole responsibility of the Merchant.
  • ReturnGuard, its developers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: financial losses, chargebacks, fraudulent transactions, or lost inventory resulting from the use of, or reliance on, our Risk Scores.
  • The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

3. Fees and Payments

All billing for the ReturnGuard app is processed directly through the Shopify Billing API. By selecting a subscription plan, you agree to the pricing and billing cycles presented on our App Store listing.

4. Merchant Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Shopify admin access. You also agree to use ReturnGuard in compliance with your local laws and your store's own Privacy Policy. If you manually "Whitelist" a customer in our Dashboard, you accept the risk of future transactions from that customer.

5. Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the ReturnGuard app from your Shopify admin. Upon uninstallation, your data will be purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Eskisehir, Turkey.
